The International Carwash Association’s WaterSavers Program Reaches 500+ Locations

In just eight months of its existence, the WaterSavers™ program boasts more than 500 participating locations at the end of fourth quarter 2009.

More than 100 companies are represented among the 500+ locations including nationally-recognized top-chains: Autobell, Brown Bear Car Wash, Giant Eagle, Mister Car Wash, Mr. Clean Car Wash, Splash, The Pantry, Quick Quack Car Wash and Gentle Touch Car Wash.

Launched at Car Care World ExpoTM 2009, WaterSavers was developed to help professional car washes promote their location as an environmentally friendly business and educate consumers on the environmental benefits of professional car washing.

“We are extremely pleased with the progress the WaterSavers program has made in less than a year,” said Eric Wulf, CAE, Executive Director & CEO, International Carwash Association. “We look forward to building on WaterSaver’s success and momentum to expand the program in 2010.”

Become a WaterSaver today! Join today at the low annual cost of $49 per location or a $250 flat fee for six or more locations. Open to all members of the International Carwash Association™, the WaterSavers program helps you promote your environmental stewardship practices and differentiate your businesses for a competitive advantage over other car washes.

To become a WaterSavers participant, car wash locations must prove that they reclaim or recycle treated water for future wash cycles and discharge effluent to a sanitary sewer or leech field. Each car wash location must be able to verify that they meet these requirements and maintain verification records on each car wash site.
